Elmdene can offer the largest known range of reproduction lightweight stone troughs, mainly used as traditional rock gardens, some with cascades and rock pools or even as aquariums complete with lights, pumps, filters and cascades

Made from a lightweight polymer resin material blended with crushed stone they weigh and cost only a fraction of the real stone alternatives, and are made here in Britain

All their products have been tested in extreme conditions and they can present them to you confident that the material they are made of is frost proof. They want you to enjoy these patio garden accessories for many years to come

Due to the material content of the these unfilled troughs, a slight darkening of colour will occur when first exposed to sunlight. It is this end colour shade which has been chosen as the most natural stone effect.

Although many troughs are successfully used as water features, we do recommend that they are drained if exposed to deep frost

Patio Aquariums brings life and tranquility to any outdoor area or conservatory. With three unique models to choose from they have been fully tried and proven through normal british summer and winter seasons and prove to keep fish and plants active all year round. This is due to the insulative materials they are made from and the built in filtration systems. All three models are of the same technical design with the larger 300 models having bigger pumps and filters. All have a viewing panel of safety glass

The two filters built into the aquariums have coarse and fine foam to filter out particles and both are packed with an effective "bio ball" filter material. The aquariums are part assembled before packing, you just need to add water and fish.

Two 10w lights give a pleasant grotto effect which enables you to view your fish day and night

Each aquarium has a raised floor bed to allow air and water circulation with bubbles continuously shimmering up through the special sized Dorset gravel which is also included

A 150w or 200w heater is fitted to both the 150 and 300 Patio Aquariums. This will keep the fish active all winter. Plants will continue to grow and the healthy bacteria in the filters will thrive. The Patio Aquariums must be kept at a minimum of 10 deg C, or there is a risk of frost/freezing damage, which is not covered under any warranty

A water polishing filter is included to help scrub the water clean and can be used to hold activated carbon cartridges

Care should be taken to ensure the base is firm and the aquarium sits level

Do not position where the sun can beat onto the glass panel, use the insulating effect of the main aquarium to reduce heat from the sun

The best position is facing the house windows where fish can be observed both day and night

All the Patio Aquariums must be maintained at a minimum of 10 deg C throughout the year, but particularly during the winter months

The All Seasons Sea Chest replicates old weathered timbers almost perfectly

It sits on 2 matching feet and has a quernstone cascade (Amphora pot no longer included)
